Our Xander clear UV film is designed to help reduce the damaging effects of ultra-violet radiation which is the major contributory factor in the fading of exhibits, displays and furnishings.

The most important thing to understand is the common misconception that fading is just caused by UV, if you filter 100% UV you will not stop 100% fading.

If you only want the clearest film available (totally clear), the Xander Clear UV is the only film available, but will not stop UV fading from heat.

You would need a slighted tinted (virtually clear film) like our Prestige Clear film to stop the percentage of fading from solar heat / infra-red.

You will get extra benefits in regards to UV stoppage with infra-red filtering films like our Prestige Clear film but it isn't as totally clear as the Xander Clear UV film.

Installing our "museum" clear window film to the glass can extend the life expectancy of furnishings and fabrics by as much as 2-5 times.
